Name: Xander
Age: 23
Subscription/Access Policy: I'm locked to friends but I'll generally add anyone who expresses interest! As long as we have something in common, I'm down. My journal is preeeetty empty at the moment because I'm hoping to get back into blogging and I'd love to meet new people, too!

Anime: Gatchaman Crowds, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Sailor Moon, Black Rock Shooter, Evangelion, Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt, Princess Tutu, Read or Die, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Shiki, Haruhi Suzumiya, Toradora, Yu-Gi-Oh, Ghibli movies (my favorites are Kiki's Delivery Service and The Cat Returns!).

General Interests: I love the occult and supernatural, I read tarot, I enjoy cooking and baking in my spare time, and I write a lot when I'm able to! I'm not that great at learning them but I love language and looking into different ones. I'm interested in feminism, awful internet humor, and a bunch of other things; my main fandom at the moment is Homestuck, and I love listening to My Brother, My Brother and Me, so if you happen to enjoy that McElroy content, I do too :O!! My favorite bands are Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, My Chemical Romance and Siouxsie and the Banshees and I cannot stop listening to Carly Rae Jepsen's EMOTION.

TV: I'm rewatching Pushing Daisies! I love Ghost Adventures, Tales from the Crypt, Goosebumps, etc... I love Teen Wolf up until season 3, I think it is, Supernatural seasons 1 and 2 are my jam, Bob's Burgers are the ones that come to mind.

Movies: The Nightmare Before Christmas, What We Do In The Shadows, Heathers, Interview with the Vampire, But I'm A Cheerleader, The Conjuring, I sadly still like Tim Burton movies. I love a lot of horror movies, and I'm always looking for more.

Games: I love horror games and consume whatever I can constantly so this is a pretty condensed list - Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Outlast, Haunting Ground, Rule of Rose, Clocktower, Fatal Frame, SOMA, Amnesia: The Dark Descent and A Machine For Pigs... Outside the horror genre, I like the Final Fantasy series (XIII and X are my favorites, though I love VII and VIII a lot too!), Xenosaga, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Tomb Raider (OG and Reboot!), Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Kingdom Hearts, Sonic the Hedgehog... I am surely forgetting more than a few. Also - my favorite game of all time is Shadow of the Colossus.

Books: My favorite book is Empress by Shan Sa. I'm presently starting the Percy Jackson series! I like Neil Gaiman's works, Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, Wildthorn by Jane Eagland, Ash by Malinda Lo... I recently picked up the sequel to Miss Peregrin's Home for Peculiar Children, which I enjoyed quite a lot.

I have to admit, I only just finished watching Puella Magi Madoka Magica and I really enjoyed it. I also love Sailor Moon, Evangelion, Read or Die, Utena, Toradora, anything Ghibli. I also love my Tarot, read my Mother's Tarot every year, and I'm into languages (especially Japanese.)

Pushing Daisies is something I've always wanted to get around to watching because the premise sounds really interesting. And Goosebumps was my jam growing up. I still love re-reading the books on occasion.

But I'm A Cheerleader is ace. Great film. <3

Love my games. I play lots of horror, even if I'm the sort of gamer with the worst case of nerves playing them. Fatal Frame II is probably my favourite. Love my Final Fantasy, Pokemon, Animal Crossing (too many hours spent on that game,) Kingdom Hearts and oh boy, Shadow of the Colossus.

Lastly, Good Omens. Brilliant book. :D

Mind if I friend you? :)

i watched madoka when it was airing some years ago, and the buzz around was it was pretty hard to ignore. it was a lot of fun, and while i have my complaints with it, i definitely enjoyed it, too, and don't regret putting time into it. i've got a strong interest in japanese, too, though recently i've been putting m efforts toward french! (and if conlangs are interesting to you, i'm attempting sindarian/tolkien elvish. it's so nerdy.)

pushing daisies is one of my favorite tv shows! it's really sweet and well done, there's a lot of heart to it and i never regret rewatching it when i do. it's just so feel good. i always find myself picking it up when it's rainy and cold, since it makes me so warm and fuzzy.

one of my faaavorites. i checked out but i'm a cheerleader a little after realizing i'm a lesbian, and it quickly became my favorite lgbtq film. it's just so sweet and funny.

absolutely, please do! we have so much in common, i'd love that.

Sindarian/Tolkien elvish, huh? That is really cool. Then again, I memorised the Al Bhed language (from Final Fantasy X,) so I could write fanfiction in public without people noticing what I was writing. How sad is that? XD

Fictional languages are cool. :)

Don't mind something with heart to it. Might give that a watch since I'm off at the weekend. It's always been on the To Watch list since I heard about it at a convention I was at, but that was a while ago. Time to take action. :P

Same. But I'm a Cheerleader is one of those films I like to rewatch every once and awhile for a feel good feeling. It's such a good film for that.
