Hullo! I came over here to Dreamwidth from Livejournal, but I haven't been too active here. Tumblr is where the people went, so I did the same, basically. I do really like the journalling format, however, so I'd love to find more people to talk to and good places to find and maybe post fanworks again. My fannish mottos are "ship and let ship" and "depiction is not endorsement".

Fandoms: This year I've gone deep into Gintama and I would love to find more fans who want to talk about it! There's no specific Gintama comm on DW and I don't know if anyone's interested in starting one, but if nothing else we could at least post to the existing anime_manga comm on DW regularly? I hope for it!

I am also an old One Piece fan since years and years, although more lukewarm on newer arcs these days. But I can still easily find excuses to ramble on about favourite characters, storylines, themes, etc. One Piece is certainly the fandom where I've written (and drawn) the most myself over the years.

I also have a lot of thoughts about Les Miserables, Fullmetal Alchemist, Discworld, Fruits Basket, March Comes In Like A Lion, Lord of the Rings, Steven Universe, Avatar the Last Airbender, Naoki Urasawa's manga, and many more. My first online fandom was Ranma 1/2 and I still love it a lot! In fact I've just started a repost on Dreamwidth of a series of manga pages (one for each volume) for Ranma 1/2 that I posted to Tumblr last year.

Other interests: Conlangs, worldbuilding, history, linguistics...

I kinda lost interest in anime/games recently, but I passively strive to become more fluent in Japanese, so anime will always be in my interests I suppose. ^^

Anime: Cardcaptor Sakura, Noragami, Sword Art Online, Kuzu no Honkai, MÄR, The Prince of Tennis, Sukitte Ii Na Yo, Kimi no na wa, Air, Black Bullet, Danganronpa, Ansatsu Kyoshitsu, Owari no Seraph, etc.

Manga: Honestly, I don't care to read anything, including manga. ;w; The only series I've read in recent years is Strobe Edge because there's no anime of it.

Games: League of Legends (I also follow professional players! My favorite team is TSM and my favorite players are Mata and Hauntzer. I'm a support + Sona main), Overwatch, Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon, Persona 3 + 4 + 5, etc.

Music: Actually, my main fandom right now is Hey! Say! JUMP/Johnny's Entertainment groups. ^^; But I pretty much listen to anything Japanese; some favorites are Asian Kung-Fu Generation, flumpool, Matsushita Yuya, Miura Daichi, Nishino Kana, and Girugamesh.

TV: I'm rewatching Pushing Daisies! I love Ghost Adventures, Tales from the Crypt, Goosebumps, etc... I love Teen Wolf up until season 3, I think it is, Supernatural seasons 1 and 2 are my jam, Bob's Burgers are the ones that come to mind.

Movies: The Nightmare Before Christmas, What We Do In The Shadows, Heathers, Interview with the Vampire, But I'm A Cheerleader, The Conjuring, I sadly still like Tim Burton movies. I love a lot of horror movies, and I'm always looking for more.

Games: I love horror games and consume whatever I can constantly so this is a pretty condensed list - Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Outlast, Haunting Ground, Rule of Rose, Clocktower, Fatal Frame, SOMA, Amnesia: The Dark Descent and A Machine For Pigs... Outside the horror genre, I like the Final Fantasy series (XIII and X are my favorites, though I love VII and VIII a lot too!), Xenosaga, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Tomb Raider (OG and Reboot!), Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Kingdom Hearts, Sonic the Hedgehog... I am surely forgetting more than a few. Also - my favorite game of all time is Shadow of the Colossus.

Books: My favorite book is Empress by Shan Sa. I'm presently starting the Percy Jackson series! I like Neil Gaiman's works, Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, Wildthorn by Jane Eagland, Ash by Malinda Lo... I recently picked up the sequel to Miss Peregrin's Home for Peculiar Children, which I enjoyed quite a lot.

About Me / My Journal: My journal is basically a thought-catcher. Whatever's on my mind at a given moment is what I post. Sometimes it is fandom-related, but it's often about my thoughts and my personal life. I live with a few mental illnesses and currently reside in an assisted living facility for adults that suffer from mental illness to the point of disability. I live in rural southern Idaho, USA, but I was born and practically raised in Seattle, WA. I have several unhealthy obsessions that I go through phases with: it's a constant rotation, really. Right now, I'm obsessed with Fullmetal Alchemist, which has been my favorite anime since its release when I was in my early teen (I'm 28 now).

Favourite Movies: The Crow, Repo! The Genetic Opera, X-Men, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Hunger Games, Unleashed, Iron Monkey, Twilight (don't hate it is a guilty pleasure), Hayao Miyazaki films (Howl's Moving Castle, Kiki's Delivery Service, Spirited Away, etc), crappy Lifetime tv movies, the 90's television film Merlin, Jackass, Star Wars, most horror films, etc.

Music: I listen to practically everything except gospel, and even then I do make exceptions sometimes. I mainly listen to jrock/visual kei and symphonic metal, but I've been known to enjoy some pop and country, among other things. My all-time favorite band is HIM, who recently disbanded from what I hear (sad face).

Games: Gaming is a huge hobby of mine. I have played everything from Super Mario Bros. to Halo to Final Fantasy to Sonic the Hedgehog and many things in between. I've owned all of the major gaming consoles at least once in my lifetime, with a few exceptions. These days, I have a preference for PC gaming, but I keep my PS3 handy for the PS1 games I've downloaded from PSN. I have a Steam account (http://steamcommunity.com/id/cocosmileyboo) and an Origin account (cocosmileyboo on there, too). I'd have to say that The Elder Scrolls series is my favorite of all time, my absolute favorite being Morrowind.

Anime: What a coincidence, right now I'm participating in a weekly rewatch at LJ of Fullmetal Alchemist (the 2003 anime), which also happens to be my favorite series of all time. I also enjoy DBZ, Sailor Moon, Hayao Miyazaki's films (as I have mentioned), Yu Yu Hakusho, Inuyasha, Rurouni Kenshin, Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Cowboy Bebop, Gungrave, Read or Die, R.O.D: The TV, Death Note, Say "I love you," Wolf's Rain... you get the idea. I'm also a bit of a manga nut at times... I'm currently rereading Angel Sanctuary.

About Me / My Journal: I mostly use my journal to talk about or vent about what's currently going in my life. My hobbies are a big part of my life so most of the time I'm talking about that. Still sometimes I talk about family drama, some recent relationship stuff (just got dumped). On rare occasions I'll also talk about the paranormal which is another large interest of mine. Even more rare I will write rather depressing stuff, but it's kept under a cut so it's not bumming out your reading page. Games: Gaming is my biggest hobby. I'm a huge fan of The Final Fantasy series going so far as to have my room cluttered with figurines and wallscrolls. I'm also big into fighting games, Mortal Kombat X is my current jam, but can't wait to grab Street Fighter V once it comes out. Also been playing through the Witcher III. I actually have a backloggery link in my profile which lists all the games I'm hoping to finish this year.

I also enjoy collecting consoles and transparent controllers (or just special edition controllers.) I don't really buy into the whole "PC Mustard Race" attitude. Not that I won't deny PC is obviously the superior platform graphically, I just prefer my consoles and playing games with my younger brother is more important to me than anything else. I'll play on anything though, and I currently own: PS4, PS3 (old model so fully backwards compatible) Xbox 360, Xbox original, 2x NES (one is broke need to fix it), a SNES, and my PC which is in desperate need of an upgrade.

Anime: Right now I've mostly been watching Fairy Tail and re-watching Monster Musume (Suu is best). I was watching Fate Zero, but may take a break from that for reasons. I was a fan of DBZ and Sailor Moon growing up because that was about all I could get my hands on, VHS tapes were expensive ya know? I also liked Hellsing, Petshop of Horrors, and the Love Hina manga.
