Hullo! I came over here to Dreamwidth from Livejournal, but I haven't been too active here. Tumblr is where the people went, so I did the same, basically. I do really like the journalling format, however, so I'd love to find more people to talk to and good places to find and maybe post fanworks again. My fannish mottos are "ship and let ship" and "depiction is not endorsement".

Fandoms: This year I've gone deep into Gintama and I would love to find more fans who want to talk about it! There's no specific Gintama comm on DW and I don't know if anyone's interested in starting one, but if nothing else we could at least post to the existing anime_manga comm on DW regularly? I hope for it!

I am also an old One Piece fan since years and years, although more lukewarm on newer arcs these days. But I can still easily find excuses to ramble on about favourite characters, storylines, themes, etc. One Piece is certainly the fandom where I've written (and drawn) the most myself over the years.

I also have a lot of thoughts about Les Miserables, Fullmetal Alchemist, Discworld, Fruits Basket, March Comes In Like A Lion, Lord of the Rings, Steven Universe, Avatar the Last Airbender, Naoki Urasawa's manga, and many more. My first online fandom was Ranma 1/2 and I still love it a lot! In fact I've just started a repost on Dreamwidth of a series of manga pages (one for each volume) for Ranma 1/2 that I posted to Tumblr last year.

Other interests: Conlangs, worldbuilding, history, linguistics...

I don't think I have a specific policy in place for subscription or adding. Add me right away if you want to, or tell me something about yourself if you like! Or feel free to ask questions first!

Subscription/Access Policy: My journal is sometimes very nsfw, and nsfw stuff will be tagged as such, so if that bothers you, I'm not for you! I also want to make friends my age and older.

Anime/Manga: naruto, bleach (not really active anymore but I still love it), dgm, peach girl, miyazaki films, my hero academia, death note - those are all my mains.

Other anime I like but not necessarily in a fandom: trinity blood, my love story!! (not finished yet, please no spoilers!), durarara, cowboy bebop, assassination classroom, etc ...

misc: ... can I put rwby or will people be mad? lol

TV: a:tla/lok, doctor who, rick and morty, the office, modern family, parks and rec, ouat (I left the fandom after a couple seasons though bc ew), Buffy/Angel, and a whole lot of other things I'm sure I'm forgetting about lmaoo. Lots of stuff, can't name it all lmao.

Books: harry potter, daughter of smoke and bone (and literally anything by laini taylor), infernal devices, percy jackson (I still love the characters but the books no longer interest me), some classics like frakenstein and pride and prejudice, etc ...

Movies: the shape of water, harry potter movies, mcu movies, miyazaki films, due date, knocked up, superbad (I really love comedies :D). I've seen lots of stuff I just can't think about right now, so you'll have to excuse me ^-^

Games: naruto games and kingdom hearts games, hopefully, one day!

Other Info: I'm pro kishimoto. I'll probably end up posting lots of daily musings, fandom stuff, fanfics, and anything else that comes to mind. I write both fanfic and original fiction, but I talk more about the latter on my sideblog on tumblr. I kinda just want a really chill environment, I'm too old for all this crap lmao; no ship wars, no antis, just fun times, writing and friends, please <3

About me: I'm still in university (unfortunately) studying something along the lines of environmental science. I was working as a nail technician for a year until recently, so I just work retail now. I kinda lost interest in anime/games recently, but I passively strive to become more fluent in Japanese, so anime will always be in my interests I suppose. ^^

Anime: Cardcaptor Sakura, Noragami, Sword Art Online, Kuzu no Honkai, MÄR, The Prince of Tennis, Sukitte Ii Na Yo, Kimi no na wa, Air, Black Bullet, Danganronpa, Ansatsu Kyoshitsu, Owari no Seraph, etc.

Manga: Honestly, I don't care to read anything, including manga. ;w; The only series I've read in recent years is Strobe Edge because there's no anime of it.

Games: League of Legends (I also follow professional players! My favorite team is TSM and my favorite players are Mata and Hauntzer. I'm a support + Sona main), Overwatch, Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon, Persona 3 + 4 + 5, etc.

Music: Actually, my main fandom right now is Hey! Say! JUMP/Johnny's Entertainment groups. ^^; But I pretty much listen to anything Japanese; some favorites are Asian Kung-Fu Generation, flumpool, Matsushita Yuya, Miura Daichi, Nishino Kana, and Girugamesh.

My favorite bands are Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, My Chemical Romance and Siouxsie and the Banshees and I cannot stop listening to Carly Rae Jepsen's EMOTION.

Age: 28

Subscription/Access Policy: I keep it access list only, or friends only. If you want to add me after reading all this I'll add you back. I also ask that you only add me if you are over the age of 18.

About Me / My Journal: My journal is basically a thought-catcher. Whatever's on my mind at a given moment is what I post. Sometimes it is fandom-related, but it's often about my thoughts and my personal life. I live with a few mental illnesses and currently reside in an assisted living facility for adults that suffer from mental illness to the point of disability. I live in rural southern Idaho, USA, but I was born and practically raised in Seattle, WA. I have several unhealthy obsessions that I go through phases with: it's a constant rotation, really. Right now, I'm obsessed with Fullmetal Alchemist, which has been my favorite anime since its release when I was in my early teen (I'm 28 now).

Favourite Movies: The Crow, Repo! The Genetic Opera, X-Men, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Hunger Games, Unleashed, Iron Monkey, Twilight (don't hate it is a guilty pleasure), Hayao Miyazaki films (Howl's Moving Castle, Kiki's Delivery Service, Spirited Away, etc), crappy Lifetime tv movies, the 90's television film Merlin, Jackass, Star Wars, most horror films, etc.

Music: I listen to practically everything except gospel, and even then I do make exceptions sometimes. I mainly listen to jrock/visual kei and symphonic metal, but I've been known to enjoy some pop and country, among other things. My all-time favorite band is HIM, who recently disbanded from what I hear (sad face).

Games: Gaming is a huge hobby of mine. I have played everything from Super Mario Bros. to Halo to Final Fantasy to Sonic the Hedgehog and many things in between. I've owned all of the major gaming consoles at least once in my lifetime, with a few exceptions. These days, I have a preference for PC gaming, but I keep my PS3 handy for the PS1 games I've downloaded from PSN. I have a Steam account (http://steamcommunity.com/id/cocosmileyboo) and an Origin account (cocosmileyboo on there, too). I'd have to say that The Elder Scrolls series is my favorite of all time, my absolute favorite being Morrowind.

Anime: What a coincidence, right now I'm participating in a weekly rewatch at LJ of Fullmetal Alchemist (the 2003 anime), which also happens to be my favorite series of all time. I also enjoy DBZ, Sailor Moon, Hayao Miyazaki's films (as I have mentioned), Yu Yu Hakusho, Inuyasha, Rurouni Kenshin, Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Cowboy Bebop, Gungrave, Read or Die, R.O.D: The TV, Death Note, Say "I love you," Wolf's Rain... you get the idea. I'm also a bit of a manga nut at times... I'm currently rereading Angel Sanctuary.

Name: Josh

Age: 33

Subscription/Access Policy: I keep it access list only, or friends only. If you want to add me after reading all this I'll add you back.

About Me / My Journal: I mostly use my journal to talk about or vent about what's currently going in my life. My hobbies are a big part of my life so most of the time I'm talking about that. Still sometimes I talk about family drama, some recent relationship stuff (just got dumped). On rare occasions I'll also talk about the paranormal which is another large interest of mine. Even more rare I will write rather depressing stuff, but it's kept under a cut so it's not bumming out your reading page. In short: I'm a guy who likes to talk video games, anime, other nerdy stuff, and my life.

Favourite Movies: Star Wars, Slasher Flicks, Kung Fu movies (old and new), most of the comic book films.

Music: I like 1950's rock and roll, as well as 80's metal (hard or hair), video game music, Ninja Sex Party, classic rock, rock in general.

Games: Gaming is my biggest hobby. I'm a huge fan of The Final Fantasy series going so far as to have my room cluttered with figurines and wallscrolls. I'm also big into fighting games, Mortal Kombat X is my current jam, but can't wait to grab Street Fighter V once it comes out. Also been playing through the Witcher III. I actually have a backloggery link in my profile which lists all the games I'm hoping to finish this year.

I also enjoy collecting consoles and transparent controllers (or just special edition controllers.) I don't really buy into the whole "PC Mustard Race" attitude. Not that I won't deny PC is obviously the superior platform graphically, I just prefer my consoles and playing games with my younger brother is more important to me than anything else. I'll play on anything though, and I currently own: PS4, PS3 (old model so fully backwards compatible) Xbox 360, Xbox original, 2x NES (one is broke need to fix it), a SNES, and my PC which is in desperate need of an upgrade.

Anime: Right now I've mostly been watching Fairy Tail and re-watching Monster Musume (Suu is best). I was watching Fate Zero, but may take a break from that for reasons. I was a fan of DBZ and Sailor Moon growing up because that was about all I could get my hands on, VHS tapes were expensive ya know? I also liked Hellsing, Petshop of Horrors, and the Love Hina manga.

Sorry for blathering on a bit, but if you want to add me drop a comment here or on my FO post, or send me a message.

I'm New Here~!

Name: Oz/Cassie

Age: 25

Country: United States

Subscription/Access Policy: Public! This is my fandom media journal, so everything I post there is for anyone who wants to enjoy it. That being said, any sensitive or adult content is marked and filtered accordingly.

I am an illustrator, graphic designer and fantasy author from the Detroit Metro area of Michigan. I identify as cis-female and queer-polyamorous. I like both men and non-binary people!

I'm a storyteller to my core. My favorite kinds of stories include romance, tragedy, dystopias, slice of life, young adult, and, of course, fantasy. I absolutely love basically anything anime, and I love to participate in fandom~! I write fanfiction, draw fanart, cosplay, and edit manga and anime music videos.

I am an advocate for LGBTQ+, women's, and POC's rights, and this permeates very much into my work. As a storyteller and artist, I desire to lift oppression and perpetuate peace and acceptance.

I really really REEEAAALLYYY love music and I listen to it almost constantly--I love all genres of music, too~ I use it as heavy inspiration for my writing and all my stories literally have playlists, haha.

I also love to play video games, though I was unable to grow up playing them as my parents didn't let me. So my video game career is kind of new and I've had to play catch-up, but I've played quite a few titles already. ^^ I also play Dungeons and Dragons!

My favorite color is neon pink. I nerd about things sometimes and I'm long winded, hehe~ If you'd like to talk or make friends, just shoot me a message or leave a comment here! I love meeting new people~

I'm new here on Dreamwidth, so I'm looking for fandom friends, as well as people to follow here on DW, and who will enjoy my content.

I'm also looking for fandom-based communities to follow. I've found a few panfandom communities, but no fandom-specific ones that still seem to be active. so if people could point me in the right direction, that would be awesome~!

Main Fandoms: Soul Eater, Pandora Hearts, How To Train Your Dragon, Persona 4, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (or manga), Angel Beats!, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Kingdom Hearts, Homestuck, //cough/ gayswimminganime //cough/ I mean Free! Iwatobi Swim Club, Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, Neon Genesis Evangelion, SIE SIND DAS ESSEN UND WIR SIND DIE JAGER I mean Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack On Titan, Owari no Seraph, Death Note, Black Butler/Kuroshistuji

Favorite Ships: OzxAlicexGil (Pandora Hearts), SoulxMakaxKid (Soul Eater), HiccupxAstrid (HTTYD), EdwardxWinry (FMA), YuixHinata & KanadexYuzuru (Angel Beats!), HomuraxMadoka (Puella Magi), SoraxKairixRikuxRoxasxNaminexAxel (KH, and yes I know it's ridiculous, ssshhh), I ship basically everything in Homestuck, NagisaxRei (Free!), FaixKurogane & SyaoranxSakura (Tsubasa), KaworuxShinji (NGE), ErenxArminxMikasa aka ArminxJeager Siblings (SnK), ShinoaxYuxMika (Owari), MisaxL (Death Note), ElizabethxCielxSebastian (Kuroshitsuji)

Hobbies: writing, swimming, cosplay/costuming, lolita, drawing, roleplaying, music video editing

Subscription/Access Policy: Public. Sometimes I'll lock a post, I just ask that you keep that content private. Most of what I write is fandom and I prefer to stick to that.

Anime: Hunter x Hunter, D. Gray-man, Soul Eater, Tokyo Ghoul, Death Parade, Akame ga Kill, Cowboy Bebop, Baccano, Heat Guy J, Detective Conan, Bubblegum Crisis, Area 88, Code Geass, .hack//SIGN, Slayers, Lost Universe, Orphen, Bleach (fell out of keeping up with it but I still love it), Gundam Seed, Gundam 08th MS Team, Ouran Host Club, Fairy Tail, Sailor Moon(1992), Samurai Troopers, Princess Tutu, Hana no ko LunLun (Flower Angel), Nurse Angel Ririka SOS, Record of Lodoss War, The Vision of Escaflowne, Ancient Book of Ys, Sora no Kiseki The Animation

Manga: Dogs: Bullets and Carnage, Tokyo Ghoul, Hunter x Hunter, Houshin Engi, Twin Signal, Detective Conan, Chrono Crusade

General interests: Writing, Drawing, bento, crafts, I absolutely LOVE fashion from the early 1900s up to the 50s, especially the 30s the most. I dabble in EGL/Lolita but I'm too broke to really commit to the hobby. I like frilly stuff but also suits. I'm a light gamer because I cannot focus long enough to play them, but I love the games I do play or watch. In terms of genres and mediums I like best, it's definitely anime and often what falls into really introspective, dark, angsty, or very emotional stuff with lots of comedy sprinkled in (because I can't go 100% grimdark even if I get close - that stuff's fun but I love fluff too). I'm not specifically into any particular type of ships nor do I go looking for them (M/F, M/M, or F/F), but I often end up latching on to the ones with the most unique obstacles or motivations to their dynamic and decide if I like them from there. I love character analysis and breaking down the mechanics of what make the world in a series work.

TV: Forever (not caught up), documentary shit and sometimes reality tv about creative stuff, the old SatAM Sonic the Hedgehog

Movies: Marvel stuff, most action and adventure movies, TMNT (the first 3, and kinda the 4th one that was animated), Pacific Rim, Sleeping Beauty, Public Enemies, LOTR and The Hobbit, and yes I like the old Fantastic 4 movie. ;D

Games: Lunar, Trails in the Sky, Ys, Alundra, Suikoden, .hack//IMOQ

I like lots of other stuff too, but I can't think of it at the moment. :)

I've had this account for about two years but never used it, since I was on livejournal long before dreamwidth even existed. However, it's been annoying having to deal with their latest changes.

Hi guys! I just recently remade my account for some silly personal reasons, so I just thought that this would be a good way to meet some new people!

Name: Ic ("eek", I don't mind giving out my real name if asked)
Gender: Female
Location: Alberta
Subscription/Access Policy: N/A! My journal is public <3 Just bear in mind that sometimes I like to vent a bit when times get rough.

Anime: Neon Genesis Evangelion, Madoka Magica, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Michiko to Hatchin, Oniisama e, Simoun, Serial Experiments Lain, Haibane Renmei, Fate/Zero, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Red Garden, Tiger and Bunny, Princess Tutu, Hellsing, Fist of the North Star, Tsuritama, Death Note, Kaiji, Nichijou, Panty and Stocking, Shiki, Kuuchuu Buranko, Black Rock Shooter, Silent Mobius, Creamy Mami, and a whole lot more!

Manga: ...I haven't read a lot of manga, actually, but I'm definitely working on reading some more! But for now, my favourites include Ichi the Killer and Claymore. :) I'm also a big fan of Junji Ito.

TV: I don't watch a lot of television (aaah, I'm so boring!), but I really like Game of Thrones. I'm planning on maybe checking out Hannibal in the future! I'd also love to watch Xena eventually.

Movies: Huge fan of everything Tarantino, Pacific Rim, Trainspotting, everything Disney and Pixar, Blade Runner, Harry Potter, Old Boy, LOtR, and a whole lot more.

Games: Not much of a gamer either, I'm afraid! I love Kingdom Hearts (I grew up with them, so they've always been close to my heart), Catherine, Bayonetta, Okami, Team Fortress 2, Yume Nikki and all related fangames, Pokemon, Ace Attorney, Psychonauts, LoZ, and Dangan Ronpa.

Other Info: I love animals, especially big cats of all varieties. I currently have a gorgeous Maine Coon and two Himalayans. In the future I'd love an English Bull Terrier or a Doberman (I like big dogs, too)!

I've always been incredibly sociable and I love conversation, so don't be afraid to talk to me! I try to be friendly and accepting to everyone. <3

Thanks for reading and I hope you all have a nice day! :D

Hello!

Posted by: teenythings

Name: Laura, Sadie, or Alex. I've gone by all of them but Laura's the one on the driver's license.
Age: 23
Location: Maine, USA. I was born in New Hampshire, grew up in Maine, visited Canada twice, visited Texas for a few weeks, visited the UK for a few months, and lived in Colorado for 4 years. I've criss-crossed the country twice and drove across it in July of 2012.
School/job: I've done all kinds of things. Waitressing, hostessing, minor bookkeeping, a partial Associate's degree through two different colleges in Colorado. I'm planning on finishing up that degree and pursuing a pharmacy technician license, but probably not this year.
Likes: Dolls! My journal is primarily filled with my hobby pursuits. I frequently update about my Etsy shop. I like Monster High, Moxie Teenz, Kurhn, S.I.S. and many others. (I also make things, hence the shop!) Besides dolls, I'm really into ABC's Once Upon a Time, BBC's Sherlock, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, all manner of fantasy and sci-fi books, BBC's Merlin, Stargate Universe, Firefly and various manga/anime (Kuroshitsuji, Fruits Basket, Loveless, Juuni Kokki, anything by Miyazaki.) Oh and I read books, obviously, though not as much lately with the shop up and running and trying to save up for a new laptop and camera.
Dislikes: Commercials in between segments of Once (the only show I've bothered to watch live in 5+ years), losing entries due to not copy-pasting before clicking 'post', losing thoughtful comments due to same, anyone who's ever voted against gay marriage laws being passed (i.e. equal rights), liars/cheaters/thieves what-have-you.
Anything else?: I'm owned by three cats - my girlfriend's ginger Phoenix, my fuzzy little (yeah, little) Maine Coon, and Marley the tuxie boy. Besides them I have nine budgies and my girlfriend has a rat named Nikolai. I'll occasionally post pictures of these critters who happily own my life but they're usually under a friendlock, you'll need to be added to see them.
